To say it was freezing on Emily and Chris' wedding day is a complete understatement. With a high of sixteen degrees, it was hard to stay outside for more than just a couple minutes without losing feeling in your nose! So for that, I am beyond grateful that Emily decided to book Veronica's Airbnb, just a little under a mile from her wedding venue, McLoone's Pier House. The house was sunfilled in every room and made their day so warm and cozy and made capturing images so effortless. The decor was absolutely gorgeous with sleek and cool mid-century modern furniture, lush and oversized houseplants, white bright walls that spread light throughout the house, and even chickens and a greenhouse in the backyard.
The Airbnb gave their day such a personal and significant feeling of home, even though Emily and Chris along with their daughter had recently moved to North Carolina from New Jersey.
After getting ready at the home and a few portraits in the backyard, we braved the cold and winds for a few photos on the beach. (So beautiful when deserted, free of crowds, and all to yourself!) They shared a short and sweet ceremony surrounded by their loved ones and danced the evening away!
