Using Lago Custom Events for our wedding was the best decision we made. Ashleigh Geraci is extremely responsive and professional. I actually felt bad for how often I emailed her with insignificant questions--she would respond immediately, no matter the time or day. I am not a good "planner" and don't really have the eye for making a wedding beautiful, so Ashleigh took care of the majority of decision making when it came to design features. She gave me her honest opinion, which sometimes meant utilizing a less expensive option. She helped me prioritize what was important to spend on and what wouldn't matter to guests. Ashleigh saved us thousands of dollars by not having to hire an outside wedding coordinator. She took care of everything. Even when I dropped two SUV loads of random wedding decor off to her--with barely any instruction, she transformed our venue into my vision. When I saw what Ashleigh had done, I immediately started crying. We wanted to have cocktail hour at the Penthouse of Ernst and Young, however the weather was expected to be terrible. Ashleigh totally kept us relaxed about it and ensured we didn't need to make a decision too early. We trusted her to "make the call" and she kept the cocktail hour where it was. The weather was absolutely perfect (a little wind never hurt anyone!) We trusted Ashleigh and she made the right decision. Our guests were floored by the Penthouse. A bunch of Cleveland people and no one knew that space was there and that it showed such a cool view of Cleveland. We had the reception in the Riviera room and it fit 190+ people with a band perfectly. Ashleigh recommended uplighting and twinkle lights to make the space look "candlelit" and it was absolutely beautiful. The food was incredible--massive pieces of short rib. Our guests were RAVING about the entire experience. We had been to several weddings where plating food took extremely long and guests didnt eat until late--every guest had food on the table by 8:10pm--which Ashleigh conveyed to us beforehand as the plan. Further, Ashleigh saved us food and set it aside to be sure we were able to eat despite all the mingling and greeting we did during dinner. I can't really adequately convey how happy we were with the whole Lago Custom Events experience. They really accommodate you no matter how off the wall your requests are. We compared their wedding packages to about 25 other venues/catering companies and Lago was the most reasonable. Now--after knowing the extremely high quality of service, food, wines, bar, experience.....we would have paid much more to use Lago--every dollar we spent was COMPLETELY worth it. Thank you to the Lago team but most importantly thank you to Ashleigh--to leave our wedding weekend with the amount of compliments from our guests, as well as the feeling that we WOULD NOT HAVE CHANGED ONE DETAIL--we cannot thank you enough.
