The Couples: Mallory + Brandon || Tracey + Joey

Brandon + Mallory married in Fall of 2016 at Ballroom at the Ben. What we love about this wedding are the florals and the Philadelphia themed details. The couple worked with an independent event planner + stylist, Shannon Wellington Weddings.

Spoiler Alert: The bride rocks some serious gold Nike kicks for the reception.

The Ceremony Location

Ballroom at the Ben offers an on-site ceremony option if you are looking for a seamless transition from ceremony to reception. If you prefer a separate location for the ceremony there are a lot of historical venues and churches close by.

Mallory + Brandon kicked things off with a wedding ceremony at Stotesbury Mansion, which is another Center City Philadelphia wedding venue with a similar elegance to it. It’s about a 10-minute drive from Ballroom at the Ben.

Tracey + Joey transformed a portion of the Ballroom into their ceremony space. Clean white draping and a long runner. Tall floral candelabras by Robertson’s added contrast to the wall of fabric during the ceremony and were later spotted on tables at the reception.

The Wedding Food, Dinner + Dessert

Ballroom at the Ben is managed by Finley Catering, so you know the food and service is top-notch. Included in your package is a Termini Brothers wedding cake – if you are from Philly you know this legendary Italian bakery is kind of a big deal.

Brandon + Mallory incorporated florals in their wedding cake and went all in with the dessert table – go big or go home. Tracey + Joey went for a classic cake 4-tiered cake + passed hors d'oeuvres.

A serious lighting system comes standard for all Ballroom at the Ben weddings – the hardest part is deciding what color(s) set the mood you’re going for. Flowers and candles are where you really get to have some fun in this space. Such a grand space deserves grand florals. Both couples opted for height with their floral arrangements.

Tracey + Joey went with cool tones of purple and blue in their floral décor, designed by Robertson’s Flowers + Events, and kept the up-lighting classic in white.

Mallory + Brandon took the opposite approach with a simple white and green floral palette by Fresh Designs Flora + Events against blue lighting.
