Whip up and sample a new seasonal craft cocktail with us each week with so you're super informed when choosing your signature drink. 'Cause someone's gotta do it. 

Paloma

Via Spoon Fork Bacon

~6 ounces fresh grapefruit juice

3 ounces tequila

2 ounces fresh lime juice

seltzer water

zest of 1 grapefruit (optional), honey & sea salt flakes for salt rim

fresh mint leaves & lime wedges for garnish

For the salt rim, spread a thin layer of honey onto one plate and a thin layer of sea salt mixed with grapefruit zest onto another. One at a time, Turn two glasses upside down first into the honey and then into the salt. Fill with ice and set aside. Pour  the grapefruit juice, lime juice and tequila into a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake well, for about a minute. Pour into the two glasses. Top with seltzer water and garnish with mint leaves and a lime wedge.

Our thoughts: Here's what we like about the paloma: it's easy. This recipe takes things up a notch with a sweet and salty rim and a few extra ingredients, and it still comes together quickly. But when it comes down to it, you can make a poloma with just two ingredients - tequila and grapefruit juice. If you have the time, it's worth it to squeeze your own grapefruit, but if you don't we won't judge. 😉
