Blackberry Whiskey Lemonade
Via Tasty
12 ounces fresh blackberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 cups lemon juice (~6 lemons)
2 cups whiskey
4 cups club soda
fresh blackberries and lemon for garnish
Combine the blackberries, sugar and water in a medium pot and bring to a boil. Reduce to medium heat and let cook for 1-2 minutes, until berries break down. Remove from heat, then strain the syrup through a fine mesh and set aside to cool. Combine the lemon juice, blackberry simple syrup and whiskey in a large pitcher. Chill until ready to serve. When it's go time, add the club soda, stir to combine and pour over ice. Garnish with blackberries and a slice of lemon.
Our thoughts: From Marcie: I'm not really a whiskey drinker, but I'm always up for trying something new and I'm glad I did on this cocktail. The blackberry simple syrup was ahhh-mazing and when it was all mixed together, I didn't mind that I was drinking whiskey a bit. Grab a few friends - this recipe serves six. 💁🏼♀️
