Whip up and sample a new seasonal craft cocktail with us each week with so you're super informed when choosing your signature drink. 'Cause someone's gotta do it. 

Royal Wedding Cocktail

2 ounces gin

1.5 ounces sage syrup

1 ounce Myer lemon juice

7-8 muddled blueberries

for the sage syrup:

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

4-5 bunches of sage

For each drink: Pour the gin and sage syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice. Muddle the blueberries and lemon juice in a pint glass. Combine the shaker and pint glass and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a flower if you're feeling fancy. For the sage syrup: Combine the water and sugar in a small pot and heat until the sugar dissolves. Add the sage bunches while the syrup is hot and let steep for 2-3 hours. Cool to room temp before using, or refrigerate over night.

Our thoughts: So this cocktail isn't as easy as some of the others we've tested, but it's beautiful (especially in a coupe glass) and fresh and we're suckers for fancy (ok any) gin cocktails. While it definitely requires some thinking ahead for the sage syrup and stocking up on some ingredients you might not normally have around, the end result is so worth the extra effort.
