Strawberry Lime Vodka Tonic
via Amber
3 ounces Vodka
4 strawberries
8 ounces tonic water
sugar for the rim
2 limes
Slice the strawberries and one of the limes, then cut the other lime into wedges. Prep two glass by sliding a lime slice along each glass rim, then pressing each rim into a small plate of sugar. For each cocktail: Add one sliced strawberry and a pinch of sugar into glass, then squeeze in three limes and muddle slightly. Add 1.5 ounces of vodka, fill the glass with ice and the other strawberry slices and top off with tonic water. Garnish with a slice of lime.
Our thoughts: Are you a vodka tonic drinker? There's room for fresh fruit in there too! It takes just a bit more work to add some summer to your vodka tonic in the form of strawberries and limes. Not normally a vodka tonic person? This one might change your mind. As a signature drink, this cocktail checks all the boxes: it's simple, fresh, and it's pretty.
This recipe makes two cocktails - just enough for a toast to summer 🥂☀️

Want to give back while planning your wedding? We'll feature a new organization here each week to help you #spreadthelove while celebrating yours.

The Good Beginning
If you've been out on your own for a while before tying the knot, you might just have all the kitchen gadgets and towels you need. In that case, check out The Good Beginning, which streamlines the processes of accepting donations in lieu of gifts from your guests.
Set up a wedding registry for one or more charities of your choice on The Good Beginning, and your guests can donate to your causes straight from your registry. As gifts are received, The Good Beginning generates a list of who, how much and which organization each guest gave so you can send thank you's to your guests.
P.S. We're also fans of their blog, The Daily Give.
